MOC Oil Production Reaches 83million br/day in 2013

Maysan Oil Company announced that its annual production of crude oil last year 2013 reached more than 83 million barrels, indicating that its seeking 1 million per day on 2017.

 Maysan Oil Company’ DG Ali Maarch Al-Bahadli said in a statement “ the annual crude oil production capacity last year 2013 reached 83 million barrels”.

Indicating “ that there was an increase of 25 million barrels than 2012”.

Al-Bahadli added “ the increase in production came because of continues development for the company’s oilfields through the license rounds contracts to reach an average of one million barrels per day in the beginning of 2017”.

Al-Bahadli indicated “ that the main oilfields are being operated by CNOOC in Bazerghan, AbuGhurb and Fakka oilfields, and PetroChina in Halfaya oilfield, under the a field supervision of MOC staff”. Indicating that there are also development operations for Ammar and Noor oilfields by a national effort”.

The ministry of oil signed in December 2013 a final contract with the consortium of Chinese, French and a Malaysian companies to develop Halfaya oilfield within the 2nd license round with estimated reserves of 4 million barrels.

The MOC DG Ali Maarch Al-Bahadli, is an engineer from Maysan province who is currently running as a candidate in the next Iraqi House of Representatives 2014 elections for Mostiqillon party headed by the Deputy PM for Energy Housain Al-Shahristani.
